Occasional Invaders

What Are Occasional Invaders?

Occasional Invaders are a group of pests that all have the same thing in common. They’re stink bugs, boxelder bugs, Asian lady beetles, earwigs, silverfish and others, too. Every year in the fall, especially around the time when surrounding Midwest crops are plowed, this group of insects flocks to the nearest south and west sides of buildings. As temperatures drop, they crawl up underneath siding, into cracks and crevices around windows and doors. They’ll even access the attic via exterior vents. And there they stay over the winter until the sun warms the building up enough again for them to wake up and emerge.
