Our Methods

Franklin Pest Solutions (Hammond Pest Control) uses Integrated Pest Management methods. What does this mean? It means we solve problems. We don’t just treat symptoms of pest related issues.

For example: You’ve been seeing a few ants appearing near the floor boards and cabinets in your kitchen every other day for the past couple of weeks. Some pest control companies will spray some liquid, hand you a bill and be on their way. We just don’t roll that way!!! When we come out to address these ants, we will actually take the time to investigate the root source of these straggler ants you’re seeing. We know better than anyone else that if there’s a handful of ants out in the open, there’s a GAZILLION somewhere behind the scenes. After inspecting, tracing the symptoms back to the source, we will discuss with you what it’s going to take to eliminate the problem once and for all. This may include placing an inconspicuous gel bait near visible activity, monitoring activity using glueboards, sealing a crevice near a water source, etc. Whatever the case is, we’ll take the time to thoroughly explain to you what we recommend, what we’ve done and what we advise you can do to help prevent activity in the future.

See, Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is a partnership. It’s us working with you to create a healthy environment, educate you (hopefully without grossing you out!) and keep you and your family safe and pest-free! Oh, and the chemical reduction thing is a pretty huge deal too. We like our Earth. We make sure we protect the environment while keeping insects and rodents in their right place, outside.

We’re not “going” there. We’ve been there for quite some time! All of our methods can be considered “green” because of our IPM methods. Of course, we do have quite a nice selection of botanical products that are made of plant extracts, we use heat to control bed bugs, we control termites with a completely chemical-free system called Sentricon, etc. Protecting our Earth is just as important to us as protecting you and your family.
